Hi there! I’m Andrea, an aspiring nutritionist and wellness coach, recent masters graduate for Health Psychology and this is my website blog. I was born and raised in London town, a great and inspiring city, I love singing and dancing in my free time and being a tad bonkers at times, and I love food! oh and did I mention I’m half Greek Cypriot (Opas!) and Polish (‘yak shie mash?’).

I made this blog out of my passion for sharing with you how I improved my own health niggles (eczema, asthma, low energy, problematic skin you name it!)  in the past few years, eating healthier wholesome food, learning about natural skincare and how much it benefits sensitive and acne prone skin, improving mental well-being and becoming happy and comfortable in your own skin. Finally for my biggest love it has to be for food! I have always been a foodie and enjoy food so much, its just one of those greatest pleasures in life (hope you agree with me! hehe) and what a better platform than to share some of my favourite recipes here.

Apart from that I was also used to giving advice freely to friends and family and I thought ‘hey!’ wouldn’t it be easier if they could just see my stuff on a website rather than me giving a long boring lecture! So there you go I had that eureka moment and said it’s time to show the world what they are missing.

My mother has also inspired me with her cooking which has always been wholesome, balanced and healthy (always including a salad with every meal) and always made from scratch, my favourite being her homemade hummus. She is very creative with everything,  and it is the same case when it comes to her food recipes. Oh and did I mention she’s the best host at parties, cooking for 100 people at times, honestly she doesn’t stop and I don’t know how she does it all. That’s one reason why I love food so much and always wanted to try new things and experiment with recipes! I particularly enjoy Mediterranean food (basically Greek!) which is known to be one of the healthiest in the world, with research showing it is the most heart friendly diet. Most importantly we always have family dinners (see image below) and sit down together to catch up so this is an essential part of my life which makes me very happy. What I have also noticed is the style of our recipes has changed over the years, as everyone is becoming more health conscious (especially myself and my younger sister), but the food still tastes and looks great!

I approach this blog in a holistic way, this means that there is a “wholeness” in a person that needs to be acknowledged, honoured, and that healing takes place in all your parts of a person: Mind, Body, Emotion, and Spirit. Using my psychology background its not surprising how in this day and age there are so many people with anxiety, low-self esteem, body and stress related issues, its all these negative thoughts consuming us on a daily basis, which manifest themselves into physical and emotional problems.
